Afraid to look at this list because I know one of them will probably have once sat on that little record rack I owned.

I doubt it, Patti--a lot of the valuable records were special pressings purchased by record company executives and band members. I used to see the Beatles' "bloody dolls" album cover at Beatle fests for about $3500, but that was 30-plus years ago.

They don't mention America's first album, but it was released without "Horse with No Name" on it. They were an unknown band and the record sold poorly. Then HWNN became a huge hit and the album was rereleased with the song on it. If you have a copy of the first America album without HWNN, that's worth a few bucks.

I better check my copy of "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan," although it's not clear to me how I'll know whether I got lucky.

I read about that one a good while ago, Don, and I wasn't lucky.

I had the Dylan too, but not the lucky one.

Like Bill, I found a penny in the Walmart parking lot.

What about the Mamas and the Papas album with the toilet seat? Wasn't that supposed to be worth big bucks too?

One sold on eBay a while back for $490. There's on up for bids right now. Current bid is $43, with 3 days to go. All the bids for that kind of thing usually come in on the last day.

I didn't see my 1970 Jack Palance album listed....

There's a reason for that.

No love for William Shatner's masterpiece (The Transformed Man, 1968)? Or Leonard Nimoy's (Space Odyssey, 1974)?
