Several errors were pointed out in the comments section after the article, but they missed one. At the end of A Boy and His Dog, Vic wasn't going to rape the girl. They were running away together and already had a sexual relationship.

I noticed a few errors, too, but not that one. Thanks for pointing it out.

They may have meant when Vic first sees the girl, when Blood sniffs her out after the movie.

An entertaining article. I've been reading Ellison since about 1967, and I've been a fan of varying intensity since the mid-'70s, so there wasn't much new here. And, as others have pointed out, there are several errors ("Olympic" typewriter? Lester del Rey--misspelled--a pseudonym for a well-known SF writer? C'mon). Still, very enjoyable.

The interviewer might've garbled the del Rey bit. His real name was Leonard Knapp, and that might be what Ellison meant.
