As for flight attendants, I wonder who needs 'em anyway, in the cattle car day of more seats and no service.

As for the Postal worker, it's a damn shame that people now seem to think an email is as good as a written, mailed letter, and that Facebook and Twitter can replace Postal Service services.

I'm struck by the fact that only 4 of those jobs pay more than the median for full-time, year-round workers (insurance underwriters, power-plant operators, farmers--and I don't actually believe the $69,000 stated median income--and postal workers), which is about $43,000 per year.

Almost all of the jobs I had have disappeared or diminished over the years, and a couple of them are on that list.
