Scott Weiland, R. I. P.
Hollywood Reporter: "Scott Weiland, best known as the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, passed away in his sleep while on a tour stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, with his band The Wildabouts," a post on Weiland's Facebook page reads. "At this time we ask that the privacy of Scott’s family be respected."

At the risk of sounding cynical, I'll wait for the autopsy results before I buy that "passed away in his sleep" story. Kinda like Amy and Whitney, this is not a surprise...sadly.
He's had a lot of drug problems, and it's just a damned shame. STP was one of the best bands of the 90s, and PURPLE in particular was a great, great album. Almost every song on it was interesting in one way or another.
Why has Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" started playing in my head?
