The first time Ii ever saw this show I was in the hospital all banged up from piling up my motorcycle. Basehart was a major actor. All I could assume was that he desperately needed the money. That was the only time I saw the series. I hated it and felt sorry for poor Basehart.

I saw it a few times and found it wanting, but the model kit of the Seaview is neat.

I saw the movie, and I thought it was kind of fun. I watched some of the first year of the TV series, and it was okay. It went downhill pretty fast, though. I don't think any of the movie cast made it to the TV series.

Coincidently, while clearing out some of my books this afternoon I came across the Whitman "Authorized" edition of VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA -- written by Raymond F. Jones. Gotta get to this one some day.
