Still and forever the first 45rpm single I bought. And also one of the few, though I guess I did accumulate about fifty over the years (that's few by my art-acquisition standards, compared to albums on cd and vinyl and casette, books, magazines, dvds and cassettes...).

Well, you bought a classic.

Of course. It was hilarious and punkish, even if I had no clear idea of what the latter might mean.

Remember your first single? (of the 45 variety, since I believe you missed all but the latest of the first wave of 78 singles...I gather some were being released for jukeboxes as late as '59/'60).

We got a new record player that played 45s for Christmas one year. Two records that I remember came with it, "You Send Me" by Sam Cooke and "Be-Bop Baby" by Ricky Nelson.
